Why hey there! Thanks for reading my first post! Do you feel special? Yes, you do!
So, what can I say for my first blog? Oh, I know, what about how much I despise Miley Cyrus and all those other trashy sell out singers at the mo. Let me start from the beggining of my ever growing dissapointment in these media figures.
So basically, I used to think the teen stars and such were pretty darn awesome. Britney Spears' Baby One More Time was the first album I was brought that hadn't been handed down to me by my older sister. I was too young to take in that this girl was pushing the boundaries when it came to her music videos. I learnt the dance rountine to most of those music videos (shameful, I still remember them haha). Loved Britney to bits. Then, DUN DUN DUUN! Toxic was released, and I screwed up my nose in discontent that my once sweaky clean yet sassy idol had crossed over to the dark side. How sad I was, until I was introduced to the genre of rock and alternaltive. But, still, even more of these 'stars' began popping up, good image at first then BAHM! Out come the hotpants and the tight-bra showing singlets trying to pass as tops. I understand that raunchy female singers are nothing knew. But c'mon, people's! It don't make it right!
Anyways, so then Disney kindly awarded the lead role of Hannah Montana to Miss Miley. I liked that for once kids like my younger sister had someone decent and wholesome had someone to look up to instead of the Good-Girl-Gone-Bad trend that singers of the 2000's had been following. (Secretly I'll admit to having 5 Hannah Montana albums, but don't tell anyone :P) Finally, someone who didn't follow the trangic Britney trend and someone who brought forth a good image and message to young girls. Miley was wicked. But wait. Oh-no! She decided to buy herself some hotpants and those tarty singlets too and once again the hailed have fallen and now we are left listening to her wonder Who Own's her Heart and try desperately to gyrate against both her male and female dancers whilst trying to channel a Gaga-esque audience who most likely have vomited at having seen an under-18 kid prancing around Hollywood proclaming that she Can't Be Tamed and, gasp, has always liked wearing less clothing. Apparently it's what girls her age do.
I don't give a crap if Beyonce or Rihanna or Kesha does it (ooh I didn't do the dollar sign! What a rebel). It doesn't make it okay. Honestly, everyone frowns upon prostitution...
Anyways, rant over. Bye lol
